The short version of ‘what we do’ is any electrical work in your home or your rental property. I’m genuinely as happy to come round and spend ten minutes changing a light switch for you, as I am to completely rewire your house. The list below is not exhaustive, but will give an indication of the sort of jobs I’ve carried out over the last 12 months:
- Replacement consumer units (fuseboxes)
- Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR’s, previously known as Periodic Inspections) – whether in response to the recent legislation about private rental accommodation, or simply to give householders an indication of the state of their electrics.
- Additional plug sockets
- Outside lighting
- Adding power for garden buildings and hot tubs
- Electrics for kitchen refurbishments, including connecting electric cookers
- Installation of electric showers
- Replacement of light fittings, including re-positioning them if you want
- Putting in downlights, or converting old downlights to LED versions
- Security lighting
- Kitchen and bathroom extractor fans
- Portable appliance testing
